So my mind has been officially and effectively blown. I just had my second appointment with the new herbalist. We discussed diet, I asked him a bunch of questions about foods, lifestyle, etc. He answered the questions in a way that I felt was satisfactory. He placed needles in a few points on my belly, wrists and legs (same points as last time as he said I “responded well to the points” during our previous meeting). He was so kind, kept asking if I wasn’t too hungry (as I’d rushed out the door without breakfast) and even offered me a rice cake. He recommended that I eat before I come next time and not “brush [my] tongue” so he could get the most “information” from my tongue and pulse.
He then asked if I was okay with doing a “muscle test”. I said “sure”, having no idea what he was talking about but imagined it would involve seeing how strong my muscles were (it seemed counter-intuitive to Chinese medicine as the focus has been on strengthening me internally but I’d been subjected to so many different tests and exams in my lifetime, I figured one more wouldn’t hurt).
What followed was so cool. Apparently we all really do have auras about us that are not only affected by what goes into us but by what is within our morphogenic field or aura (I am definitely open to correction around my description of this, I am only going based on this one experience and what was explained to me. I also tend to utilize poetic license to interpret as my mind chooses to understand things).
Here’s how it works:
I hold a couple small vials in my left hand labeled “Quantum Energy” and “M-Field Potential” (don’t ask me how one goes about bottling quantum energy, all I know is I was holding it in my left hand). These tiny vials are supposed to give me added strength. The doctor then asks me to hold out my right arm straight in front of me (I’m sitting on the patient table). He instructs me to push against his hand as he presses down on the top of the end of my extended arm. He holds certain other vials of powder or pills/supplements in front of me (within my aura; he tested the distance my aura extends out by bringing a vial of something only required by males near me, when my arm began to lower, representing that my body did not need the substance, that symbolized that he had entered my field).
I’m going to pause here a moment because I sense your skepticism and (especially if you are my mom reading this right now) your panic that I have gone cookoo and off the deep end or that I am at risk of being totally taken advantage of and duped. Makes me think of the movie about that comedian (“Man on the Moon” I think it was) where the man goes to another country to have his cancer “removed” from his abdomen only to discover it’s a total hoax that hundreds of people are falling for and traveling great distances to have performed on them.
Believe me, I did an internal eye-roll when he explained the process to me but I do have a friend who had suffered from horrible headaches who had described a similar process that had been extremely helpful to him so I was certainly open to the idea. Besides, I figured I hadn’t tried it before and what if this was the missing link. Makes me think of a quote I once jotted down in my journal many years ago about what this guy would do if he had a child.
“I would baptize him in every kind of religion, with priests, the Baptists, Jehovah’s witnesses, all the Protestant sects, and the Spiritists too. That way he would be absolutely guaranteed and couldn’t miss out on heaven.” –Jorge Amado
At first I couldn’t much tell the difference from when he said my body or aura wanted the substance or rejected the substance. After a while, I started to get it. I could actually feel my arm lock with certain substances (under the pressure of his hand pushing down on my arm) and simply sink with other substances. That’s when he blew my mind; he stopped, looked at me, a bit perplexed, and asked me if I had a something-or-another (I can’t remember the term he used) hernia. I hadn’t told him before (because I had reported it to doctors in the past and they seemed unconcerned by it) that sometimes my intestines seem to pop out and I have to slide them around a bit until they fit back in (back in my abdominal lining or something of the sort). Doctors have said that it’s a hernia but if I can slip it back into place that it’s not really a concern (I know, sounds pretty wild, but I am quite a “special” and “unique” case as many doctors like to say). So, he was able to detect a hernia from his arm pushing aura test. I think I blew his mind too (he seems pretty tickled by the fact that this test thing can teach us so much and he seemed excited that he had detected something that I hadn’t ever mentioned to him). He isolated a few supplements that would be helpful for me and determined (with the same test) that I also had a parasite affecting my small and large intestines and my lymphatic system. He used the test to determined supplements to help kill the parasites as well as help me to expel the parasites once dead (apparently it’s important to expel the parasites after killing them as the dead parasites can cause you to feel sick and very tired). He explained that it is pretty common to get parasites and that he had treated parasites in himself 3 times (he explained we can get them from consuming sushi and other foods).
Three and a half hours later, I left with a bag full of supplements (I’ll be taking 9 different supplements per day; gotta kill those parasites!) and agreed to see him twice a week for now (until I’m stronger or the parasites are dead or whatever, I’m fine with it, I’m finding this whole thing fascinating). I’ll keep you posted on how this all goes and whether or not I’m able to kill and rid myself of those pesky parasites (according to Chinese medicine, per this doctor, parasites can contribute to autoimmune illnesses or at least complicate matters. Makes sense.).
